Smith and Bybee Lakes

Very abundant waterfowl in these seasonal wetlands, with beaver lodges as well. I've seen bald eagles most times I've been out. Lots of fun channels and water-edges to explore. Try parking your boat in the vegetation, and sitting quietly for a bit. Early and late times will maximize your observation, but the access gate can be less predictable at early/late hours.

Don't tip here - you'd be sorry. It's about 5ft deep on average, with a muddy bottom, and a muddy, thicket ringed shoreline.
